Mamman voiced his dissatisfaction with the merger, arguing that it undermined the benefits initially intended by establishing separate technical colleges. He clarified that these institutions should cater exclusively to students interested in technical education, while science students should attend conventional colleges.

The minister criticized the decision to merge the institutions as a mistake and stressed the need for technical colleges to fulfill their role in providing skills that can drive national development.
