Nigerian Lecturer Aims For Guinness World Record With 150-Hour Lecture Marathon

Dr. Nsikak Akpan, a Nigerian scholar, has received approval from Guinness World Records to embark on an ambitious attempt to deliver a 150-hour non-stop lecture. The marathon lecture is scheduled to take place from September 23 to 30 at Foreign Links College in Moro, Osun State. It will focus on the theme “Relationships between Man’s Environment and Health.”

A graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Dr. Akpan hopes to contribute to the academic community while raising awareness about the detrimental effects of environmental neglect on human health. “I want to use this platform to educate students and the world about the importance of environmental conservation and its impact on human well-being,” Akpan stated.

If successful, his attempt will establish a new global record for marathon lectures, further highlighting Nigeria’s presence on the world stage.
