The artist, famous for hits like “KKP,” took to his Instagram page on Monday morning to disclose the unsettling news of his detainment by the Ugandan Immigration authorities.

Despite the revelation, Rexxie remained mum on the specific cause behind his arrest, which he decried as “unjust.”

In a plea for assistance, the producer urged his followers to rally behind him with the hashtag, “UgandaFreeRexxie,” emphasizing his urgent need for support.

In his Instagram post, he expressed, “I’ve been arrested at the Ugandan Immigration. Pls I need help.”

This incident recalls the detention of Nigerian musicians Omah Lay and Tems, who were arrested and taken to court before being imprisoned in Uganda for their involvement in a concert at Speke Resort, Kampala, on December 12, despite COVID-19 social distancing protocols.
