The Ondo State chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has officially begun the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms in preparation for the local government elections set for January 18, 2025. Aspiring candidates are encouraged to obtain their forms to contest for various local government positions. In a bid to promote inclusivity, the NNPP will offer:
– A 50% discount on nomination forms for women, Persons Living with Disabilities (PWDs), and youths aged 30 and under.
– A standard fee for the Expression of Interest form.
Olaleye emphasized the party’s commitment to empowering a diverse group of candidates to ensure representation across all sectors of society, focusing on development, transparency, and accountability. “The upcoming elections will usher in a new era of governance,” he stated. “NNPP is dedicated to grassroots democracy and encouraging broader participation in the electoral process.”
He urged aspiring candidates to seize this opportunity to engage in local governance. “We are thrilled to open the portal for our candidates. This is a crucial moment for those looking to serve their communities and make a significant impact in local governance. A truly representative government must include voices from all walks of life.”
