In a video recorded in Yoruba, she narrated how she once reached out to a friend living in the United States — first to request support for her business and later during the viral friendship challenge that trended during the COVID-19 lockdown.
According to her, the friend ignored the business request, which is no longer relevant as she has since closed the venture. On the friendship challenge, the friend dismissed her by saying she had already done it with others, and the conversation ended abruptly.
Surprisingly, after years of silence, the same friend suddenly responded to those old messages. The lady hinted that this renewed interest might be linked to her recent success, noting that she just bought a new car.
She added that the friend had previously kept her distance, perhaps feeling superior because of her relocation to the US.
The lady revealed she has since unfollowed and blocked the friend on social media, ending her story with a firm reminder: “In everything you do, make sure you become somebody.”
