The encounter will be played at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, providing both teams with another opportunity to fine-tune their squads ahead of the new campaign.

For Doma United, the fixture will enable the coaching crew to assess the team’s readiness and refine tactical plans after securing a return to the NPFL following a two-year absence from the top flight.

The Savannah Tigers head into the new season under the guidance of newly appointed head coach Ayodeji Ayeni, while Wikki Tourists, who were relegated from the NPFL last season, will be led by Bala Abubakar.

Niger Tornadoes Line Up Two Pre-Season Friendlies

Meanwhile, Niger Tornadoes have intensified preparations for the upcoming campaign with two friendly matches scheduled for this weekend in Bida.

The Ikon Allah Boys will take on Bida Selected on Saturday before facing Bida Lions on Sunday at the Aliyu Ndayeko Memorial Stadium.

The fixtures are expected to give the technical crew an opportunity to evaluate the current squad, assess new recruits and continue building a competitive team for the new season.

The Minna-based club is undergoing a rebuilding process after several players departed at the end of last season and is expected to bolster the squad with additional signings before the transfer window closes.

Kwara United Reinforce Technical Bench

In Ilorin, Kwara United have strengthened their technical department with the appointment of Ladie Ojokojo as the club’s new chief coach ahead of the 2026/27 NPFL season.

Ojokojo joins the Harmony Boys from Kwara Football Academy and is expected to work closely with Technical Adviser Suleimon Ashifat as the club continues its pre-season programme.

The appointment forms part of Kwara United’s efforts to strengthen its backroom staff before the new league season begins.

Bendel Insurance Complete Suraj Lawal Signing

Elsewhere, Bendel Insurance have secured the services of forward Suraj Lawal on a one-year contract ahead of the new campaign.

The Benin City club confirmed the signing after concluding negotiations with the former Abia Warriors striker.

Lawal scored three league goals for Abia Warriors last season and is expected to provide additional firepower for head coach Kennedy Boboye’s side as they prepare for the 2026/27 NPFL season.
