In a statement on Tuesday, Kogi State NLC Chairman, Comrade Gabriel Amari, congratulated the Governor-elect on his victory in the recent gubernatorial election and expressed the union’s anticipation of a strong relationship with the incoming administration.

Amari emphasized the need for the Governor-elect to focus on improving workers’ welfare, particularly regarding salaries and emoluments.

He highlighted that the support received from workers during the election was based on the expectation that their concerns would be addressed, extending the hope to local government areas.

“The emergence of Ododo marks the beginning of a new era in Kogi State’s development. As a representative of the Labor movement, ensuring the well-being of workers, we pledge our full support to the incoming administration in realizing the Kogi State of our aspirations,” stated the NLC Chairman.

Amari appealed to Governor-elect Ododo to promptly tackle the challenges faced by workers in Kogi State, emphasizing the importance of addressing issues related to welfare, salaries, and emoluments.

The NLC expressed renewed optimism that the mentioned challenges would be swiftly resolved and affirmed their commitment to praying for the success of the incoming administration in Kogi State.
