Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has instructed the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission to refund all administrative fees associated with the ongoing recruitment into the state’s civil service. In a statement issued on Thursday by the Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, Abiodun directed that the N10,000 fees previously charged be refunded to all applicants. The statement explained that these fees, historically levied for decades, were collected by the Civil Service Commission for services provided by third-party independent examiners who manage and oversee the CBT tests and centers.
Acknowledging the current economic challenges and the recruitment’s goal to alleviate public suffering and create jobs, the state government has decided to refund the fees and waive any charges for new applications.
