Old Video Sparks Fresh Buzz As Kenneth Okonkwo Revives Harsh Criticism Of Atiku

A video of Nollywood actor-turned-politician Kenneth Okonkwo strongly criticising the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has resurfaced online, attracting widespread attention on social media.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The throwback interview, recorded in 2023, resurfaced just weeks after Atiku appointed Okonkwo as his official spokesperson for the 2027 presidential election campaign.

In the interview aired by Channels Television, Okonkwo accused the former vice president of wrongdoing over allegations relating to consultancy payments and the use of special purpose vehicles.

According to Okonkwo, former President Muhammadu Buhari ought to have prosecuted Atiku, questioning why the former vice president continued to pursue the presidency.

“Atiku has confessed that he used special purpose vehicles to create phoney companies for which he paid consultancy fees, and from which the consultancy fees were paid back to him.

“He said it openly. His voice is there. Buhari is supposed to send him to jail.

“The two people that deserve prison, I don’t know what they are looking for in the presidency,” he said.

Okonkwo also criticised Atiku’s handling of allegations linked to the Achimugu controversy, arguing that the former vice president failed to adequately respond when questioned about the matter.

He said, “Nobody has sued him for defamation, libel or slander.

“These are issues that the candidates themselves and their parties have controversially said do not exist.

“Atiku was asked about the issue of Achimugu by the BBC. You know what he said? ‘We’ve passed over that.’ He offered no defence.”

The resurfaced video has sparked renewed debate online, given Okonkwo’s current role as a spokesperson for Atiku’s 2027 presidential campaign.
