Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has praised Pastor Paul Enenche, the senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Center, for apologizing to Miss Vera Anyim. Anyim had testified during a live Sunday service at Dunamis, stating that she had obtained a BSc in law from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) after ten years of study. However, Pastor Enenche accused her of lying and interrupted her testimony, claiming she had falsely claimed to have a BSc in law.

Following widespread reactions on social media calling for an apology, the church issued a statement expressing regret, clarifying that the accusation was unintentional. Omokri took to Facebook to commend Pastor Enenche for his humility in admitting his mistake and seeking reconciliation with Anyim. He highlighted the pastor’s choice of words in the apology as reflective of Christlike character, viewing the incident as a redemptive teachable moment.

Omokri emphasized that Anyim had been vindicated as a genuine law graduate and a recipient of divine grace. He encouraged members of Pastor Enenche’s congregation whose faith may have been challenged by the incident, noting that the pastor’s conduct exemplified the triumph of love over pride.
