Aiyedatiwa, communicating through his media aide, Kenneth Odusola, emphasized that these faceless individuals were apprehensive about his stature, his close working relationship with Governor Akeredolu, and the widespread support he enjoys from the people.

He remarked, “Stakeholders have commended the Deputy Governor for his adept handling of state affairs during his tenure as Acting Governor.

Despite numerous provocations, he remained composed and avoided falling into the traps set by his detractors. His continuous communication with the governor on official state matters ensured seamless governance.”

Aiyedatiwa further questioned the credibility of claims that he was taken by surprise when Governor Akeredolu returned from his official duties, as he had been actively engaged in preparations for the governor’s arrival, including critical state matters such as the signing of the LCDA Law after its passage by the State Assembly.

He continued, “The orchestrators of these falsehoods had intended to provoke Governor Akeredolu and his family with fabricated allegations of disloyalty and impeachment, hoping to inflict severe damage on the Deputy Governor in anticipation of the upcoming gubernatorial election in the State.”
