According to a statement released by the Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Umar Abba, Adeniyi, residing in Army Barracks Area, Kelebe, Iragbiji road, Osogbo, has been implicated in multiple fraudulent schemes.
It is alleged that Adeniyi engaged in fraudulent activities, deceiving individuals and obtaining a total of N650.8 million under false pretenses.
The statement, signed by the Command’s spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, emphasized the commitment of the Osun State Police Command, under CP Mohammed Umar Abba, to eliminate criminal elements from the state. Adeniyi Sunday Talabi, 47, has been suspended by First Bank Nigeria Plc pending investigations into the matter.
The Command has commenced an investigation into the case, and upon its conclusion, Adeniyi and his collaborators will be prosecuted.
CP Mohammed Umar Abba warned criminals that Osun State will not harbor them, reaffirming the Command’s dedication to purging the state of criminal activities.
