Oyebanji Makes Fresh Appointments, Names Four Officials To Key Ekiti Government Positions
Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has appointed four officials to key positions in the state’s power infrastructure, road development, airport administration and transportation sectors as his administration begins its second term.
According to Bush Radio Academy, the appointments were announced in a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday evening by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode.
The newly appointed officials are Philip Atere, who will serve as Technical Adviser on Power Infrastructure, and Tope Fatukasi, appointed Technical Adviser on Road Infrastructure.
The governor also named retired Air Vice Marshal Sunday Makinde as Technical Adviser on Airport Matters, while Tajudeen Alingbolu was appointed Director-General of the Ekiti State Transport Agency.
The state government disclosed that the appointments take immediate effect and are aimed at strengthening the administration’s efforts to improve essential infrastructure and transportation services across Ekiti State.
The announcement came hours after Oyebanji swore in the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Habibat Adubiaro, and the Chief of Staff, Oyeniyi Adebayo, for another term in office.
During the swearing-in ceremony, the governor urged both officials to apply the experience they gained during his first administration to their responsibilities in the new term.
Oyebanji emphasised that his second tenure would require greater commitment, discipline and accountability from public office holders. He also warned that his administration would not tolerate poor performance, stressing the need for officials to deliver results and contribute meaningfully to the state’s development.
The latest appointments form part of the governor’s efforts to strengthen his administration’s leadership structure and improve service delivery in critical sectors of Ekiti State’s economy.
