P-Square Rift Deepens As Elder Brother Reveals Why Peter And Paul May Not Reunite

The eldest Okoye brother, Henry Okoye, has expressed doubts about the possibility of a reconciliation between former P-Square members, Peter and Paul Okoye, saying their prolonged dispute may have caused significant damage to their relationship.

Henry made the remarks on Friday during an interview with social commentator Jos Connection at the family’s residence in Plateau State, where he discussed the latest dispute involving Peter, Paul and their elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye.

Although Henry acknowledged that Peter had made efforts to resolve the disagreement, he said he was not optimistic that the twins would regain the close relationship they once shared.

“I will be happy for them to come back together, but I don’t think it will happen. Paul was a very kind person,” he said.

Henry appealed to Paul to consider reconciling with Peter, recalling what he described as the support Peter offered his twin during a period of illness.

He also questioned what he perceived as a major change in Paul’s personality over the years.

“Peter is trying. I don’t know if Jude used juju on Paul because he was the nicest person in the family before. But the way he changed is surprising,” Henry alleged.

The eldest Okoye brother said he had followed Peter’s public accounts of the events surrounding the latest family crisis and believed the disagreements needed to be resolved.

“What is happening now is my prayer. I watched all Peter’s series on what transpired,” he added.

Henry also revisited the early days of P-Square, alleging that he had been promised a share of the duo’s earnings before Jude allegedly intervened.

“They promised me 20 per cent when they started making money. Jude intervened and dismissed that.

“I challenged him that he wasn’t there when we started everything but now chasing everybody away from them,” he claimed.

Henry further alleged that Peter once directed him to Jude when he raised concerns about money he believed was owed to him.

“When Peter’s wife’s dad died, I spoke to them about why they left only me in Jos. Peter said I should meet Jude; he’s the one holding my money,” he said.

According to Henry, several individuals had attempted to mediate in the family dispute, but their efforts had failed.

“I want all the family to come back. I have tried my best. Even Shehu Dantata spoke to them and they didn’t listen,” he stated.

Family Feud Dates Back Years

The disagreement between Peter and Paul contributed to the breakup of P-Square in 2017 following years of disputes over their music career and management.

The twins eventually reconciled in 2021, raising hopes among fans that their differences had been resolved.

However, another dispute erupted in 2024, with Peter accusing Paul and Jude of acting against him and questioning the management of the group’s finances.

Peter also alleged that Northside Music Limited, a company linked to Jude and his wife, received royalties belonging to P-Square.

Paul rejected the allegations and defended Jude, accusing Peter of contributing to the legal challenges facing their elder brother.

The family dispute later resulted in legal proceedings after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arraigned Jude over allegations involving ₦1.38 billion, $1 million and £34,537.59.

Peter subsequently testified in the case, alleging that Jude secretly incorporated Northside Music Limited and used it to receive royalties belonging to P-Square.

During cross-examination in February 2026, however, Peter acknowledged that he was a co-signatory to the account of Northside Entertainment Limited, amid the continuing dispute over the management of P-Square’s finances.

The court case and wider family disagreement have continued to generate competing accounts from the brothers.

‘I Have Forgiven Everyone’

Despite the bitterness surrounding the dispute, Henry said his main desire was to see the Okoye family reunited.

He appealed to Jude to contribute to resolving the crisis and urged Paul to forgive Peter.

Henry said he had personally moved beyond past grievances and wanted his siblings to do the same.

He maintained that his priority was to see peace restored within the Okoye family after years of public disagreements, although he remained doubtful that Peter and Paul would return to the close relationship they once shared.
