Reflecting on the recent political crisis in Ondo State, Bello attributes it to a failure to comply with constitutional provisions regarding the transmission of power from a governor to the deputy. He acknowledges the opportunistic exploitation of the crisis by certain individuals and groups, emphasizing the need for genuine commitment to the rule of law.

With Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa now serving as the substantive governor, Bello extends congratulations and offers suggestions for his administration. Bello encourages Aiyedatiwa to focus on realistic, participatory budgeting, review questionable policies, and attend to the welfare of civil/public servants and pensioners. He emphasizes the importance of prudence, inclusivity, and accessibility in governance.

Bello commends the intervention of elders, led by Pa Reuben Fasoranti, in resolving the political stalemate and underscores the need for continued efforts in achieving true reconciliation and good governance in the state.
