This statement came from PDP National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba during a media briefing at the party’s Abuja headquarters. His comments were a response to APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje’s remarks made on Sunday in Akure, Ondo State, where Ganduje claimed the APC was poised to capture all six states in the South-West geopolitical zone.

The meeting in Akure included key APC figures such as Governors Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, and Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti, and was convened in anticipation of the November 16 governorship election in Ondo State.

Currently, the APC governs four of the six South-West states: Ekiti, Ondo, Lagos, and Ogun, while the PDP controls Oyo and Osun. Ologunagba described Ganduje’s comments as “reckless and irresponsible.
