Peter Obi Is Selfish If He Runs In 2027 – Amadi Drops Bombshell

In a post on his official (formerly Twitter) account on Monday, Amadi suggested that certain individuals are only interested in using Obi to advance their own political goals. He implied that these people expect Obi to accept the role of running mate to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who was the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag bearer in 2023.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Amadi noted the internal conflict among Obi’s supporters, with some pushing for him to run for president again, while others advocate that he should align with Atiku as a vice-presidential candidate in 2027.

He wrote:
“The problem with Peter Obi is that some people just want him to help them win elections. If he does not say, ‘I will be vice president to Atiku,’ then he is selfish. They insult him. But real supporters of Obi want him to be President. Which side are you on?”

Meanwhile, Amadi also commented on President Bola Tinubu’s relationship with his deputies, stating that Tinubu has a history of struggling to work well with vice presidents.

He observed that it wouldn’t be surprising if Tinubu decides to drop Vice President Kashim Shettima as his running mate ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking during an interview on Arise TV on Saturday, Amadi pointed to Shettima’s exclusion from recent endorsements by the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a potential sign of things to come. This was in reference to the APC Northeast stakeholders’ meeting in Gombe State, where President Tinubu was endorsed for a second term without any mention of Shettima.
