According to a statement from the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Haruna Abdullahi Kiyawa, the command has identified plans by some political supporters to use social media platforms to organize public demonstrations against the court’s decision.
The Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Usain, urged residents to remain patriotic, avoid unlawful gatherings, and prevent any actions that could lead to violence.
The police reminded political party leaders of the peace pact they signed on November 16, 2023, emphasizing the need for a peaceful political landscape in Kano State.
The statement highlighted the potential for violent protests aimed at shutting down the state, as per credible information received by the Police Command.
