Police In Nasarawa Intensify Efforts To Apprehend Abductors Of LG Chairman

The Nasarawa State Police Command has initiated an investigation into the recent abduction of Safiyanu Isa-Andaha, the Chairman of Akwanga Local Government Area. DSP Ramhan Nansel stated that the state Commissioner of Police, Umar Nadada, has taken swift action by mobilizing personnel to pursue the criminals and secure the release of the kidnapped chairman and another individual. The abduction reportedly took place at around 8:30 p.m. in Ningo village of Akwanga LG.

“The police, in collaboration with other security agencies, are currently on the trail of the kidnappers to ensure the release of the council chairman and the other victim,” said the police spokesperson.

Nansel appealed to the public, especially residents of villages in the area, to provide valuable information to the police that could aid in the rescue of the abducted individuals and the apprehension of the perpetrators.
