The spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has responded to the discovery of locally manufactured firearms at a gun factory in Jos, Plateau state.
In a recently issued statement, Adejobi revealed that the police had uncovered a facility in Kuru, Jos, Plateau state, dedicated to the production of rifles. The authorities successfully seized 2 AK-47 rifles, 9 automatic pistols, and 1,800 rounds of live ammunition during the operation.
Adejobi, while sharing images of the confiscated rifles on X, emphasized the remarkable skills of the individuals involved in the illicit arms production. He suggested that the government should collaborate with these talented individuals to address the issue.
Furthermore, Adejobi highlighted that the seized ammunition poses a lethal threat comparable to legally manufactured ones. He underscored the need to address the situation by acknowledging the talents of those involved.
