In a New Year message to Nigerians, signed by Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, the newly elected National Chairman, IPAC underscored the immense tasks ahead, asserting that addressing issues such as insecurity, economic revitalization, infrastructure development, job creation, social cohesion, and elevating living standards requires unwavering patriotism, political acumen, leadership prowess, and resolute determination.

The Council stressed the gravity of leadership responsibilities, emphasizing the constitutional obligation of elected officials to fulfill their duties without bias, fear, or favor. IPAC urged leaders to uphold their campaign promises to the people, emphasizing the need to focus on the essential tasks for which they were elected.

Reflecting on the past year, IPAC acknowledged the challenges faced by Nigerians, including political tension, economic recession exacerbated by the removal of fuel subsidies, devaluation of the naira, and widespread insecurity. Despite these adversities, the Council commended the resilience of the Nigerian people, who, in the face of uncertainty, maintained faith in their country.

To assess the performance of elected officials in delivering the dividends of democracy, IPAC revealed the establishment of a Peer Review Mechanism. This mechanism aims to monitor and evaluate the accomplishments of public officers across the nation, ensuring accountability and transparency in governance.
