United States President Donald Trump has claimed that British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is preparing to step down from office, despite the absence of any official confirmation from Downing Street or the Labour Party leader.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Trump made the remark on Saturday, June 21, through a post on his Truth Social platform amid growing speculation about Starmer’s political future and increasing unrest within the ruling Labour Party.

“Keir Starmer will resign as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom,” Trump wrote.

“He failed badly on two very important subjects – IMMIGRATION AND ENERGY (OPEN NORTH SEA OIL!). I wish him well!”

Trump’s comments come as reports continue to circulate that Starmer is reassessing his position following mounting pressure from within Labour ranks.

The pressure intensified after Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham secured a convincing by-election victory in Makerfield on Friday, boosting speculation that he could emerge as a challenger for the party leadership.

Burnham, who has served as Mayor of Greater Manchester since 2017, used his victory speech to warn that Labour had a “final chance to change,” a statement many political observers interpreted as a veiled challenge to Starmer’s leadership.

The by-election result has further fueled speculation that Burnham may seek to replace Starmer. As a Member of Parliament, he would be eligible to contest the Labour leadership and potentially become prime minister if successful, given Labour’s parliamentary majority.

Senior Cabinet Minister Peter Kyle acknowledged on Sunday that Starmer was carefully assessing the political situation.

Speaking to Sky News, Kyle revealed that the Prime Minister had been consulting extensively with a broad range of individuals following what he described as a candid discussion held on Friday.

Several British media outlets, including The Observer, The Guardian, and The Sunday Telegraph, have reported that Starmer could announce a timetable for his departure as early as Monday, June 22. Reports also suggest he spent the weekend at Chequers, the Prime Minister’s official country residence, holding discussions about his future.

According to Sky News, Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper is among senior Labour figures reportedly encouraging Starmer to consider stepping aside.

Since taking office in July 2024 following Labour’s landslide general election victory, Starmer has faced criticism over immigration policy, energy reforms, ministerial controversies, and several policy reversals.

His position within the party has also been weakened by Labour’s poor performance in recent local and regional elections across England, Scotland, and Wales.

Despite growing speculation, Starmer has repeatedly insisted that he intends to remain in office and challenge any attempt to remove him from leadership.

As of the time of this report, neither Starmer nor Downing Street had publicly responded to Trump’s remarks.
