While some political parties are still reeling from these judgments, others are unwavering and determined to challenge these rulings all the way to the nation’s highest court.

Among the series of verdicts that have struck a significant blow to these parties, particularly the opposition, is the removal of three House of Representatives members elected under the LP banner by the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal in Umuahia.

The LP was not the only party affected, as the National/State Assembly Election Petition Tribunals in Katsina also nullified the victories of two House of Representatives members, Aminu Chindo and Ismail Dalha, both from the PDP.

In Niger State, the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunals in the Minna High court complex dismissed the PDP’s Mohammed Nazeer’s petition against the election of the APC’s Shehu Saleh. Justice Angela Otaluka, in her ruling, described the petition as lacking substance and merit.

Similarly, a petition filed by the PDP’s Saidu Isah challenging the election of the APC’s Mahmud Abdullahi suffered a setback as it was dismissed by the tribunal led by Justice Angela Otaluka.

Additionally, the elections of Senators Abubakar Sani Bello (APC) and Peter Jiya Ndalikali (PDP) were upheld.

In Kebbi State, the National and State Assembly Election Petition Tribunals, led by Justice Margaret Oparah, issued five rulings out of sixteen petitions before them. The tribunal dismissed Senator Atiku Bagudu’s petition against Senator Muhammadu Aliero for lack of evidence.

Furthermore, it dismissed Senator Bala Nbn Na Allah’s (APC) petition against the election of Garba Musa (PDP), confirming Musa’s victory as senator representing Kebbi South senatorial district.

In another development, the tribunal rejected the petitions of Professor Umar Mukhtar (APC) challenging the election victory of Ibrahim Bello (PDP) and the petition of Kabiru Bello Suru (PDP) against the victory of Bello Kaoje (APC).

The National Assembly Election Petition Tribunals in Katsina, under the chairmanship of Justice Ogunfowora, invalidated the election victories of two House of Representatives members: Aminu Ahmadu Chindo (PDP) in Katsina Central Federal Constituency and Ismail Dalha, who represented Kankia/Kusada/Ingawa federal constituency.
