Ijele stated, “We have received information through credible sources that urgent security measures are required at the Kogi INEC office to thwart the nefarious plan by mandate bandits to burn down the office.

We call on relevant security agencies to intervene promptly to prevent the destruction of the office and to safeguard all electoral materials used in the recently concluded Gubernatorial election in Kogi state.

The perpetrators aim to disguise the burning as a fire outbreak, intending to destroy all evidence of rigging.”

Contrarily, the APC campaign council’s Director of Media and Publicity/Spokesperson, Kingsley Fanwo, released a statement on Sunday night, asserting that the SDP’s false alert about an alleged planned attack on the INEC office is a cover-up for the party’s sinister intention to burn the INEC office and blame it on the APC.

The APC campaign council urged security agencies to enhance security around INEC offices, emphasizing that SDP’s propaganda cannot conceal the party’s defeat in the polls.

Fanwo stated, “Despite their intimidation and blood-letting rampage in some parts of the state, INEC conducted a credible, free and fair election, and the security agencies also ensured that the votes of the people counted.

We commend Kogites for standing up to ethnic bigots by responding resoundingly with votes that reflected our unity as a people.
