Qatar emphasized that there is no existing agreement between the State of Qatar and the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Investment Promotion and Protection. The letter further highlighted the Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s prior commitments on the dates President Tinubu intended to visit.

Additionally, Qatar noted that its Minister of Commerce and Industry, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim al-Thani, would be engaged in official missions abroad during the anticipated visit period, making him unavailable to meet with the Nigerian leader.
