On Friday, An African delegation team led by Cyril Ramaphosa headed to Ukraine for peace talks with President Zelensky, unfortunately, they were greeted with explosions and forced to shelter in bunkers amid air strikes on the capital Kyiv.

Reno Omokri criticized such acts portrayed by Ramaphosa and the delegation team, claiming the African leaders displayed “Yessa Massa tendencies when they got together and decided to go to Russia to meet Vladimir Putin.”

He added that the energy should have been channeled to the conflict rocking Somalia, Mali, Sudan, Ethiopia, Central African Republic and others.

He wrote via his Twitter handle; “I must say that African leaders displayed Yessa Massa tendencies when they got together and decided to go to Russia to meet Vladimir Putin in shuttle diplomacy to seek an end to Russia’s conflict with Ukraine. Why did they not coalesce in the same manner and go to Ethiopia to resolve the Ethiopia-Tigray conflict? More people have died in that conflict than have perished in the Russia-Ukraine War.”

“Why are they not in Sudan making peace? Or in Somali? Or bringing peace to Mali, and the Central African Republic? African charity should begin in Africa, not in Russia or Europe. Meanwhile, what is happening in Russia is a lesson for nations and individuals. Cooperation is always better than confrontation. Only fight when you have exhausted every possible avenue for a peaceful resolution. Diplomacy is not weakness. It is the divine in you. Physical conflict is not strength. It is the animal in you.”

“And do not bring a tiger to devour your enemies. If your enemies prove to be too hard a nut to crack for the tiger, it will leave them and face you. We pray for peace in Russia and to end their conflict with Ukraine. But we will first pray for peace in Africa, knowing that some of our own wars are caused by meddling foreign powers.”
