Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has urged Nigerians to refrain from speaking negatively about their country. He emphasized the importance of maintaining positive thoughts and prayers for the nation’s well-being.
Addressing attendees at the 2024 Eid Mubarak celebration, themed “Allah will not change the way of the people until they change what is in their heart,” organized by the state’s First Family at Lagos House, Ikeja, the governor, represented by his deputy, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, underscored the need for a shift in mindset among Nigerians. He emphasized that divine intervention would only occur when individuals change their perspectives and speak positively about the nation.
Sanwo-Olu stressed that the narrative of Nigeria would only improve when its citizens refrain from cursing and expressing negativity. He highlighted the pivotal role of collective prayers and positive wishes for the country’s prosperity.
The governor emphasized the importance of parental guidance in shaping the behavior of children, urging parents to instill values of respect and decency in their upbringing.
