Speaking on Channels Television’s Morning Brief, Gumi addressed national security challenges and recent allegations of violence in Nigeria, emphasizing that his long-held advocacy for peace without bloodshed is gradually gaining recognition among officials.

He highlighted that Kaduna State’s security situation has notably improved due to the adoption of his dialogue-centered strategy.

Gumi stated, “Everyone in Nigeria is a person of interest. My perspective on achieving peace should matter to anyone who truly wants stability in the country. My mission is to explore ways to restore peace without bloodshed, and it appears that more people are understanding this now. Some governments have implemented my approach, and they are seeing results.

“In Kaduna, regarding banditry, things have improved by roughly 90%. Kaduna is progressing well.”

He added that the decline in attacks, kidnappings, and disruptions in rural areas demonstrates that negotiation and dialogue can be effective tools for sustainable peace.
