Senator Kevin Chukwu Faces Suspension From Labour Party Over Alleged DisloyaltyThe Labour Party (LP) has suspended Senator Kevin Chukwu, who represents Enugu East Senatorial Zone, over alleged anti-party activities and acts of insubordination.

The suspension was announced by the Amuri Ward executives of the party in a letter addressed to the Labour Party Chairman in Enugu State, which was also sent through the Local Government Chairman. According to Naija News, the suspension follows accusations that Senator Chukwu’s actions violated the core principles of the party.

The letter, made available to the press on Sunday, stated, “Distinguished Senator Kevin Chukwu,

Notice of Your Suspension from the Labour Party

“We, the members of the Executive Council of the Labour Party, Amuri Ward, Nkanu West LGA, formally notify you, Distinguished Senator Kevin Chukwu, of your suspension from the Labour Party for 90 days, effective immediately or upon receipt of this notice.

“This resolution has been reached due to your repeated acts of insubordination to the party leadership, involvement in anti-party activities, and failure to uphold the party’s principles. Despite several invitations for you to address these concerns, you have failed to respond or avail yourself for hearings.

“Should you wish to contest this suspension, you are free to invoke the constitutional provisions of the party.”

The letter was signed by Comrade Chika Okoh, on behalf of the Executive Council of the Labour Party, Amuri Ward.
