In a series of tweets on Saturday, the SGF reassured citizens that the government is working diligently to bring solutions that will ease the impact of fuel price increases.

He acknowledged that the decision to remove fuel subsidies may have immediate unfavorable effects but emphasized that Tinubu’s long-nurtured vision for Nigeria’s restoration is being addressed.

Akume highlighted the regressive nature of the petrol subsidy regime and stressed that annual payments were unsustainable, compelling the president to act.
