According to sources, the decision was reached unanimously during a high-level meeting of opposition leaders held on Tuesday night.

As reported by The PUNCH, former Minister of Sports, Bolaji Abdullahi, has also been selected to serve as the Interim National Publicity Secretary of the coalition.

Insiders revealed that the African Democratic Congress (ADC), now under the coalition’s control, will be formally unveiled with its new leadership in Abuja on Wednesday.

One source stated, “We just concluded a meeting tonight (Tuesday). David Mark and Aregbesola have been officially chosen to lead the ADC as Interim National Chairman and Secretary. The public unveiling is scheduled for tomorrow.”

Initially, Aregbesola was said to have declined the role, but he reportedly accepted after being persuaded by key stakeholders.

Another source added, “After months of extensive consultations, Atiku Abubakar and other coalition leaders have agreed to adopt the ADC as their political platform. The current ADC Chairman, Ralph Nwosu, has stepped aside to make way for the interim leadership.”

Additional appointments include Chief Anayo Arinze as Interim Deputy National Chairman (South) and Alhaji Ibrahim Manzo as Interim Deputy National Chairman (North).
