Sh*ck Revelation: Governor Alia Exposes Masterminds Behind Benue Bloodshed

Speaking on Friday during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, the governor described the situation as deeply troubling and completely unacceptable.

Although he did not name the individuals involved, Alia revealed that a preliminary report from a judicial panel he commissioned has implicated several prominent figures.

He assured the public that once the panel’s final report is submitted next week, he will take decisive action.

“It’s deeply disturbing. Some top politicians—currently active and based in Abuja—are not only inciting these attacks, but are also sheltering and supporting the perpetrators in the forests. They provide them with supplies, gadgets, and cover,” Alia said.

“This is totally unacceptable. If these politicians care more about securing power than protecting lives, then I have a duty to stand for the people and defend them.”

The governor explained that the judicial panel was established to uncover the root causes of both internal and external assaults on Benue communities. The final report is expected between Tuesday and Wednesday next week.

Meanwhile, fresh violence erupted along the Makurdi–Naka road on Friday, where several people were feared dead and many others injured in another attack believed to have been carried out by armed herdsmen.

The road has reportedly remained under the control of Fulani militia groups for weeks, despite repeated promises of military action.
