Sani suggested that, in light of President Bola Tinubu’s recent nationwide address, the protest organizers should halt their demonstrations and form a team to discuss their concerns with the government.
In a post on X, Sani stated: “In response to the President’s speech, protesters should suspend their actions and assemble a delegation to negotiate with the government at both federal and state levels. This approach is essential for democracy.”
The protests, which began last Thursday, have been driven by widespread discontent over economic difficulties. The demonstrators have called for the reinstatement of fuel subsidies, better living standards, reductions in governance costs and electricity tariffs, and measures to address rising insecurity.
President Tinubu addressed the nation on Sunday following the protests.
