Shell Nigeria’s Media Relations Manager, Abimbola Essien-Nelson, stated that the BOGT, a subsidiary of Shell, resumed the supply last week, emphasizing the collaborative efforts and dedication of teams from both BOGT and PHRC. Dr Osagie Okunbor, the Country Chair of Shell Companies in Nigeria and Managing Director of Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited, commended the teams for their intensive preparations and collaboration, considering it a crucial step in the nation’s renewed efforts to utilize key infrastructures for a steady supply of products to the Nigerian market.

Osita Nnajiofor, the Bonny Terminal Installation Manager, highlighted the careful assurance of pipeline integrity relevant to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited subsidiaries and maintenance activities on BOGT refinery export pumps before implementing supplies to the Port Harcourt Refining Company. Nnajiofor emphasized the successful and safe completion of the refinery supply, with no harm to people, environment, or equipment.

Dr Okunbor expressed optimism about future supplies from BOGT, stating that they would be guided by the demand for the product. The recommencement of crude oil supply from the Bonny Oil and Gas Terminal to the Port Harcourt Refining Company is seen as a game-changer for the industry and the country, aligning with the Federal Government’s goal of ensuring a consistent supply of petroleum products to the downstream market, contributing to the nation’s economic growth.
