Writing on Facebook on Wednesday, she said:
“Whenever I see posts claiming ‘your mother-in-law is also your mother’ or ‘your siblings-in-law are also your siblings,’ I feel like giving reality a good slap.”
“My mother-in-law is my mother-in-law and will never be my mother. My siblings-in-law are my siblings-in-law, not my real siblings. My mother is my mother because she is the only one who checks on me daily.”
“Only my mother worries about losing me to death, not my mother-in-law. Only my siblings share that fear, not my siblings-in-law.”
Hope added: “I’ve believed this since 2015, so all this talk about mother-in-laws and siblings-in-law will never make sense to me.”
