A witness, identified as Bosede Akinyemi, recounted that the attackers stormed the venue without warning and created panic, forcing guests to flee in different directions. She stated that members of the musician’s band were beaten and their equipment vandalised during the chaos, adding that one performer was allegedly stabbed while resisting the hoodlums.

Local authorities later expressed strong disapproval of the disturbance. The Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government Area, Hon. Andrew Ogunsakin, condemned the attack, describing it as disgraceful and inconsistent with the values of the Ikale community. He assured the public that the matter was receiving urgent attention and pledged that measures would be put in place to prevent similar disruptions.
