Soludo’s appeal was made during a prayer gathering at Dr Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, organized by the Anglican Communion for the state’s peace and advancement.

Recently, the governor announced free education in government schools from nursery to junior secondary for all children in the state.

Addressing the assembly, Soludo expressed, “While there’s ongoing work, it’s our duty to continue while on earth.”

He also urged church leaders, stating, “The church needs to contribute its part. We’ve implemented free education in government-owned schools.

I implore the churches running schools to consider reducing their fees. This will enable even market women and street vendors to afford schooling for their children in your institutions.
