Spyro Sparks Reactions With Strict Video Policy: ‘No Nakedness, No Smoking Around Me

Speaking during an interview on TVC, the singer said he does not permit smoking or nudity in any music video he features in, stressing that anyone working with him must respect those principles.

According to Spyro, his brand is built on promoting clean content, and he deliberately avoids projects that conflict with his beliefs.

“You can’t be in a video with me and you’re smoking. That can’t happen. You can’t be in a video with me and you’re naked. That won’t happen. I have rules and regulations when it comes to working with people,” he said.

The singer also disclosed that he rejects collaborations involving explicit lyrics or messages he considers inappropriate, insisting that he only associates himself with music that reflects his values.

“I can’t be on a song that is not clean, to start with,” he added.

Spyro also spoke about fellow singer Shoday, revealing that he once encouraged him to embrace Christianity.

“I told Shoday, ‘Give your life to Christ.’ He replied that I should continue with my own journey while he focused on his. Even if he’s not with Christ now, I believe he’s coming to Christ. That’s why I’m in this industry. It’s a gradual process,” Spyro said.

The singer maintained that beyond making music, he sees his platform as an opportunity to positively influence people while staying true to his convictions.
