Starstruck! 2Baba’s Daughter Reveals She Froze When She Met Her Crush, Wizkid

Isabella Idibia, daughter of Nigerian music icon 2Baba and actress Annie Macaulay, has revealed that she has a celebrity crush on Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, admitting she was too nervous to speak to him when they first met.

The teenager made the disclosure during an interview with Sula Talks, where she recounted her memorable encounter with the Grammy-winning singer at one of her father’s birthday celebrations.

According to Isabella, she spotted Wizkid standing near the entrance of the venue but was so overwhelmed with excitement that she walked past him without saying a word.

She explained that after taking a moment to compose herself, she eventually returned to greet the singer, although she remained shy throughout the brief interaction.

“I have a big crush on Wizkid. When he arrived at my dad’s birthday party, I saw him standing near the entrance. I was so excited and nervous that I couldn’t bring myself to talk to him, so I walked past. After calming down, I went back to greet him, but I was still very shy,” she said.

During the interview, Isabella was also drawn into the long-running fan debate over Wizkid and fellow Afrobeats star Davido.

Rather than picking a favourite, she praised both artistes, saying she enjoys Davido’s music as much as Wizkid’s and preferred not to choose between them.

“I also enjoy listening to Davido’s songs, so I don’t want to choose between them,” she added.
