Yoruba nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has sought the intervention of the god of iron, Ogun, following the tragic killing of two traditional rulers in Ekiti State. Expressing condolences to the Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, the state government, and the resilient people of Ekiti, especially in Esun Ekiti and Imojo Ekiti, Igboho condemned the barbaric murders and urged both the state and federal governments to take swift action in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
In a statement, he insisted on the immediate apprehension of the murderers and a thorough search of the surrounding woods and forests to root out those responsible for such heinous acts. Additionally, Igboho invoked the intervention of Ogun, the god of iron, in seeking justice and putting an end to the ongoing menace.
Expressing solidarity with the affected families and kidnapped school children in Eporo Ekiti, Igboho emphasized the need for collective efforts to ensure justice prevails, and he urged that such tragedies should not disrupt the peace and prosperity of Yorubaland.
He concluded by conveying the pain of the situation and emphasizing that those involved in such acts, whether motivated by politics, criminality, or sheer wickedness, should be aware that consequences are imminent. Igboho called for unity and determination to prevent further loss of life in Yorubaland.
