Yusuf disclosed that the casual worker, identified as Dayyabu Haladu, also known as Dan Gezawa, received recognition for his honesty, including a generous reward of N1 million and an automatic opportunity to participate in the upcoming hajj exercise.

The governor emphasized that the actions of this casual employee exemplify contentment, describing him as an outstanding individual whose behavior should serve as a model for everyone.

He stated: “Even as a casual worker with a modest allowance, this gentleman managed to return the misplaced funds valued at over N15 million. It demonstrates how this individual possesses a strong sense of integrity and deserves to be commended.”

Yusuf urged citizens to maintain the state’s reputation by displaying discipline and contentment, as this is key to leading a fulfilling life.

Furthermore, the governor pledged to honor a tricycle rider who returned a missing sum of N16 million.

Haladu, on his part, revealed that he returned the money to the state pilgrims’ board out of a deep sense of reverence for Allah. He added that, despite economic challenges, taking what did not belong to him was morally incorrect.
