Makinde made the statement on Sunday during a meeting with Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, in Bauchi State.

He further accused Wike of playing a central role in the internal crisis within the PDP, claiming that members aligned with Wike’s political camp have already agreed to support President Tinubu in 2027.

According to Makinde, Wike allegedly assured during a meeting involving himself and the President that he would “hold the PDP” in favour of Tinubu ahead of the next election cycle. He added that anyone aligned with Wike’s faction had effectively chosen to back the President.

In a related development, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State responded by claiming that Makinde is positioning himself to lead what it described as a weakened and fragmented PDP Governors Forum.
