Ajayi accused Governor Aiyedatiwa of receiving N1.2 billion monthly for security, claiming that these funds have not led to noticeable improvements in safety. He pressed the governor to reveal the exact monthly allocation, emphasizing the need for transparency and public accountability.

“I challenge the governor to disclose how much he’s collecting if he claims my figure of N1.2 billion is false,” Ajayi asserted.

In response, Governor Aiyedatiwa rejected Ajayi’s accusations, questioning his credibility regarding state governance. “My brother can’t come here and be lying. Is he even in government?” Aiyedatiwa countered. The governor, however, chose not to reveal the specifics of the monthly security vote, citing concerns over security.
