Thank You For Clearing the Air!” – APC Applauds Buhari’s Swift Response

Buhari recently reaffirmed his allegiance to the APC, making it clear just hours after former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, claimed that the ex-president had given him his blessing before his defection to the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

In a statement on Saturday, APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, lauded Buhari for swiftly addressing the situation and distancing himself from attempts to link him with the political decisions of others.

The statement read:

“The All Progressives Congress (APC) commends former President Muhammadu Buhari for his firm reaffirmation of loyalty to our great party.

“In a statement on Thursday, March 13, 2025, the former President declared, ‘I am an APC member, and I like to be addressed as such. I will try to popularize the party by all means.’

“We appreciate former President Buhari for promptly clearing the air and disassociating himself from individuals seeking to tie him to their political moves.

“His steadfast loyalty to the party, which twice elected him as President, further cements his legacy of integrity and statesmanship.

“We encourage our members to follow Buhari’s exemplary commitment and dedication to the APC.”
