Following the meeting, APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje stated that the party was pleased with Ndume’s apology. The party plans to inform the Senate leadership about this development and request a review of Ndume’s removal.

Ndume’s removal followed a complaint from the APC National Working Committee to the Senate, led by Godswill Akpabio, about his remarks against Tinubu.

Ganduje remarked, “We are satisfied with his apology. The party is like a family, and we are free to invite legislators, executive members, and appointed officials to address such issues. We have resolved this as a family matter and will communicate the outcome to the National Assembly in hopes of reconsideration.”

Ndume admitted that he should have raised his concerns with the party leadership rather than publicly. He said, “I acknowledge that I should have discussed these issues with the party first. My comments, though strongly expressed, were made out of patriotism. I regret not addressing them within the party before going public. My membership remains intact, and the party has not expelled me. The party is like a family to me, and I am committed to resolving any issues within this ‘house’.
