This development was announced by Dele Oyewale, the acting head of media and publicity of EFCC, in a statement issued in Uyo on Monday, October 9.
Oyewale disclosed that the suspects were captured during an early morning sting operation on Thursday, October 5, based on intelligence linking them to internet-related activities.
The apprehended individuals are identified as Udenze Benjamin, Godwin Atike, Emmanuel Francis, Adebe Oluwademilade, Anietie Brownson, and Sabastin Obioma.
The statement further mentioned that various items, including phones and laptops, were seized from the suspects. It was also stated that they will face legal charges once the investigations are completed.
