These mega terminals consist of two prominent structures strategically situated in a central area, connected by a pedestrian bridge for easy movement of pedestrians and commuters across the highway. The terminals will also feature a spacious parking area and modern amenities.

Professor Dahud Sangodoyin, the Commissioner for Public Works and Transport, provided this assurance during an inspection of the projects.

He emphasized that Governor Seyi Makinde’s decision to establish these terminals was aimed at enhancing the state’s transportation system and creating terminals that could rival modern terminals worldwide.

Sangodoyin pointed out that the state government has been progressively modernizing various aspects of infrastructure since the current administration took office, aligning with global standards.

He stressed that the governor’s focus is on bolstering the economy, highlighting that a conducive environment for transportation and business activities fosters productivity.

Sangodoyin stated, “The progress we’ve made so far indicates that work has commenced, and we are optimistic that at the current pace, the project will be completed within the next six months, which is by the end of February 2024, and then we can proceed to the commissioning ceremony.”

He added that significant progress has already been made, with the gatehouse completed, and most of the structures in the terminals are already finished.

Some final touches, such as decking in terminal one and rendering in terminal two, remain to be completed. The commissioner expressed confidence that both terminals will be fully operational by February.
