The Surprising Strategy Behind International Airlines Slashing Prices – Insider Reveals....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Former Senator Shehu Sani sheds light on foreign airlines’ efforts to sideline Air Peace on international routes. Sani emphasized that foreign airlines would persist in reducing fares until Air Peace is squeezed out from foreign routes.
Naija News reports a significant drop in international flight ticket prices on the Lagos-London route, plummeting from as high as N3.5 million for economy tickets to N1.2 million after Air Peace commenced its London route.
Sani advocates for Nigerians to rally behind domestic airlines to regulate the activities of foreign counterparts. He asserts that foreign airlines are slashing prices solely due to Air Peace’s presence. Their aim is to drive Air Peace out of those foreign routes, reverting to monopolistic pricing once achieved. Sani urges increased patronage of local airlines as a means to keep foreign airlines in check.
Air Peace initiated its flight operations from Nigeria to London in March, designating Gatwick Airport as its destination. Allen Onyema, Chairman of Air Peace, alleges an “unspoken alliance” among foreign airlines to crash airfares on the Nigeria-UK route, aiming to push Air Peace out of international operations.
In response, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, assures full government support for Air Peace operations from Nigeria to London. He commends Gatwick Airport for embracing Air Peace.
