Amidst the chaos, three of the assailants met their demise, their nefarious plans shattered in the face of determined resistance.

As the dust settled, law enforcement emerged victorious, with one suspect captured and the others vanishing into the cover of darkness, nursing wounds inflicted by the clash. Seized from the scene were the tools of their trade: a locally made pistol, ammunition, and evidence of their intent in the form of vandalized wire cables.

CSP Odiko MacDon affirmed, “In compliance with the Commissioner of Police’s directive, a crack team of Ikot Ekpene Division responded to a distress call, engaged armed robbers, numbering about ten, who were robbing at NDDC Hall/National Museum, Ikot Inyang Village and environs.”
