Timi Frank Review How Wike Betrayed Jonathan And His Wife!
Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Timi Frank, has criticized the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for his verbal attacks on Dr. Peter Odili, a former Governor of Rivers State.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Odili had lauded Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State for resisting Wike’s alleged attempts to dominate the state.
During a Special Thanksgiving Service organized by Martin Amaewhule, the factional Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, at the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Oro-Igwe/Eliogbolo Archdeaconry Church of the Holy Spirit in Port Harcourt, Wike retaliated by labeling Odili an “ingrate” and a “rent seeker.”
Reacting in a statement on Tuesday, Timi Frank accused Wike of showcasing his recurring tendency to betray friends and benefactors. He alleged that Wike had previously betrayed former President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Patience Jonathan, despite their significant support for his political career.
Frank remarked:
“Wike’s unwarranted attack on Odili highlights his pattern of turning allies into adversaries and his unpredictable nature. This is not new behavior, and it likely won’t be the last. Nigerians remember how Wike betrayed ex-President Jonathan and his wife after they appointed him as Minister of Education and facilitated his rise to Governor of Rivers State.
“Similarly, Wike turned against former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, whose political support he had greatly benefited from.
“In 2023, Wike formed a controversial alliance against his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), ensuring their loss in the presidential election. To this day, he continues to fuel crises within the PDP, including in Rivers State, to politically undermine the party ahead of 2027.
“What further proof of treachery do we need from a man who belongs to the PDP yet serves as a minister in an APC administration?”
Frank’s statement underscores the deepening political tensions and allegations of betrayal surrounding Wike’s leadership and alliances.
